Welcome to Yallingup Steiner School.

The Yallingup Steiner School is nestled in the Wildwood Valley, three hours from Perth, WA. Families attracted to the southwest with its beautiful environment can also choose a rich, holistic education.

In 1998, the first playgroup began at Millbrook Farm, Yallingup thanks to the generosity of the Merifield Family. A year later, the playgroup established within the grounds of the original Yallingup School site. In 1994 the Playgroup was registered as a Kindergarten and primary school for children to the age of 12.

All subjects taught at the Yallingup Steiner School are consistent with Rudolf Steiner's indications and are approved by the State. From our broad foundations students enter a high school of their choice.

Currently we have over 100 children at our school drawing from the Busselton, Margaret River, Dunsborough and Yallingup areas.

2010

Applications now being taken...
Applications for 2010 are currently being taken… but classes are filling up fast! We are one of over 700 schools worldwide which embraces the educational indications given by Rudolf Steiner. There is a strong focus on the creative and practical aspects of the traditional study areas. This “Main Lesson” is followed by practice lessons, foreign language, and art classes. After lunch, practical subjects such as handcraft and sports and games are taught. We aim to retain the child’s natural sense of wonder and interest for learning. At Yallingup Steiner School, as we endeavour to embrace the child holistically as a physical, intellectual, and spiritual being, we are held by the resources of a caring, supportive parent body and a physically beautiful location to help each child to unfold their full potential. Through the understanding of the stages of development of the child, we offer a culturally rich, comprehensive and integrated curriculum. There is importance placed on imagination and the creative arts in the teaching and learning process. Limited places are still available at our school for 2010 in classes from Kindergarten to Class Six. School buses operate from Busselton, Dunsborough and Margaret River. Please call Kerrie Naughton on 97552230 or email registrar@yss.wa.edu.au for availability and information pack. For more information about Steiner Education see www.steineroz.com
